We, at EastDell Estates are dedicated to preserving our natural Escarpment surroundings. Our property is home to 110 acres of land, 85 of which are planted vineyards. Grape varieties planted include: Classic “Bench” grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling, Vidal, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir. The nature of Niagara rules in every aspect of EastDell’s integrated operation – from our vineyards and winemaking practices, to The VIEW Restaurant’s focus on seasonal cuisine, to the preservation of our property’s spectacular Carolinian woodlot and nature trails.
In the summer of 2003, EastDell Estates’ vineyards, gardens and native woodlot began showing off their true Carolinian heritage as over 7,000 new plantings and 3,000 flower bulbs sprung to life after several seasons of landscaping and ecological restoration in various sites around the property. See for Yourself! We invite our visitors to explore our vineyards and the 5 km trail system which meanders through our native Carolinian woodland. Enjoy it by foot during the spring, summer or fall, or cross-country skis in the winter months. A section of the footpath is a designated route along the Bruce Trail. |
